Cookie Policy
This policy covers bbi-by.com only, and it applies whether you arrive from Almaty, Tbilisi, or anywhere else. Last reviewed on this page: November 2026.
This Cookie Policy explains how bbi-by.com uses cookies and similar technologies, what they are used for, and how you can control them.
Cookies are one of the few parts of a website that you can switch on or off yourself, so the sections below are written to be read once and kept as a reference. If anything here is unclear, the Contact page carries our current email, phone number and office addresses, and the Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data more broadly.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the site to remember information between visits, such as your preferences, and help site owners understand how pages are used.
A cookie is not a program and it cannot run on your device. It is a short piece of text that the browser stores and then sends back to the site on later requests, which is how a site remembers that it has already seen you. Most cookies carry a name, the domain that set them, and an expiry date; session cookies disappear when you close the browser, while persistent cookies stay for a defined period unless you remove them.
A few related techniques do a similar job. Local storage keeps slightly larger pieces of information in the browser, and pixels or scripts can register that a page was loaded. Where this policy says cookies, the same explanation applies to those technologies unless a section says otherwise.
Types of cookies we use
Three groups cover everything we set on this site. The list below describes each group, what it does, and what changes if you turn it off.
Required to run
Strictly necessary
Strictly necessary cookies are required for the site to function, for example to keep a session active or to protect forms from abuse. They do not track you across other websites, and blocking them in your browser can stop parts of the site from working at all.
Measuring use
Analytics
Analytics cookies, where used, help us understand which pages are visited and how visitors move through the site. They tell us that a page was opened and roughly where a visitor arrived from; they are read as totals, not as a profile of one person. If they are switched off, the site still works.
Remembering choices
Preferences
Preference cookies, where used, remember settings you have chosen, so the site does not ask the same question on every visit. Removing them usually means you will be asked again on your next visit rather than losing access to anything.
Why we use cookies
We use cookies to operate the site reliably, to measure whether content is useful, and to improve navigation. Analytics data is reviewed in aggregate and is not used to identify individual visitors.
In practice this means three things. First, forms and interactive parts of the site need to know that a request came from your browser rather than from an automated script. Second, when a service page is opened often but its contact route is rarely used, we look at whether the page explains the next step clearly enough. Third, we compare which sections visitors reach before leaving, so navigation can be shortened where it is doing no useful work.
What we do not do with cookies: we do not sell cookie data, we do not build advertising profiles of visitors to this site, and we do not try to connect browsing activity here to a named person. If you send us a message through the Contact page, that conversation is handled as described in the Privacy Policy, not through cookies.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies may be set by services we use, such as analytics or hosting providers. These providers have their own privacy and cookie policies, and we recommend reviewing them if you want details on their processing.
A third-party cookie is stored under the provider's domain rather than ours, which is why your browser lists it separately. We choose providers that process usage data for measurement and delivery rather than for resale, but the exact retention periods and lawful bases are set by each provider and can change without notice to us.
If you would like to know which providers are currently active on this site, write to us using the details on the Contact page and we will confirm what is in use at that time.
Where third-party scripts run: on our own pages only
Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works. Browser help pages explain how to view, remove, and block cookies for each major browser.
Where to look in your browser
Desktop browsers
In Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari the cookie list sits in the privacy or site-data area of settings, usually under a heading that mentions cookies and site data. From there you can remove everything, remove one site, or block cookies for the site you are on.
Phones and tablets
On iOS the setting lives in Settings under Safari, and on Android it sits in the browser's own settings menu. Both allow you to clear stored site data, and both let you block cookies for all sites if you prefer.
Private or incognito windows
Private windows accept cookies for the duration of the session and then discard them when you close the window. They are a simple way to browse without leaving anything behind, though they do not stop a site from setting cookies while you are there.
What changes if you block them
Blocking analytics and preference cookies has little effect on what you can read here. Blocking strictly necessary cookies can prevent forms from submitting and sessions from staying open, so if a page stops responding after you change settings, that is the usual cause.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when our use of cookies changes. The current version is published on this page.
When we change the list of cookies in use, the description above changes with it, and the review date at the top of this page moves forward. Older versions are not archived separately; the page you are reading is the version that applies. If a change is significant, we will note it in the same place rather than sending a separate notice.
